Greenwich Mind hosts this supportive women's group for African and Caribbean women.
The eight-week group will explore themes which affect lives and relationships. Some of the topics to be included are self esteem, positive parenting and self development.

In Southwark, Black History Month has been recognised for over 20 years with a month long programme of exciting and inspirational events and workshops. Every year throughout October people, schools, libraries, groups and organisations host events and get involved with the celebration of black history.
This year has a lot of exciting events and commemorative celebrations, but the Black History Month programme won't be overshadowed, but will embrace, join in and extend the celebrations. Filling the month from begining to end with entertaining, insightful and celebratory events.

remembering people, places and events from the African Diaspora that have made an historical impact; profiling the traditions of African and Caribbean communities through stories, festivals, crafts, dance and costumes to enhance cultural understanding and appreciation; documenting or preserving the heritage of people of African or Caribbean descent to pass on to future generations, with a particular reference to local history.
